Our Beliefs and Philosophy
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:6-8
Grace Baptist Christian Academy believes the Bible to be our sole authority for faith and practice. Any education that leaves out the Bible is then incomplete education, if not pagan education. The Bible gives us our philosophy of education. In brief, this includes the following:
The Parents, not the state, have been given the responsibility to train their children, and this is to be done in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:1-3). Our school exists as a ministry of our church to assist parents in this awesome task.
The Person of Jesus Christ is the key to life (John 14:6), and is to be exalted in all that we say and do (I Cor. 10:31).
All People have been made in the image of God, and therefore have the ability to learn and grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We were created not evolved (Gen. 1 & 2).
The Principles of God’s Word are to be taught faithfully to the next generation (I Tim. 3:1). These principles are not just taught, they are “caught” as students see them lived out in the lives of their teachers and parents.
